COVID-19

If for any reason your class or course is postponed due to any restrictions put in place, alternative dates will be offered to you, and these will be arranged to suit you. You will not be expected to attend the alternative dates if you are not available, you will be offered other alternatives until you are able to attend what is suggested. You will not loose out on any tuition that you have paid for, it will just be completed at a later date, as close to your original booking as restrictions allow. We will not be offering online tuition as a substitute for your postponed in-person lessons, as we don’t feel this is a like for like swap, and want you to get the teaching you have paid for.

Cancelled classes

If we have to cancel a class, course or private tuition session for any reason a replacement date will be offered, transfer of credit to another course or evening class or a full refund will be given (dependant on the situation).

 

Booking fees

We encourage you to pay directly through our website (from 2022). Direct bank transfer is still accepted for returning students who have paid this way in the past and would like to continue. Cash may be accepted but must be pre arranged with the tutor, and you must be a returning student. For products we don’t currently offer direct website payment for (gift vouchers) we ask for bank transfer as payment. If you don’t want to pay this way, we will accept independent payment through online payment services such as paypal but ask that you please pay the transfer fee. If you would like to pay this way please let us know when booking - as the email address for PayPal is different to any you would have been contacted on.

Booking and Deposits

Payment confirms your place. Please don't arrive without pre-booking as we will not have the space and equipment needed for you.

We can’t hold places without payment. If you can’t pay for the full course in one go, please get in touch first to arrange an alternative such as a deposit and a final payment.

Deposits are non-refundable, unless sessions are cancelled by us and not re-arranged.

Discounts

All current Discounts and Offers are listed on our website. You need to use any you wish to claim at the time of booking. They cannot be retrospectively applied.

Discounts and offers are usually exclusive, you can only claim one per booking, unless the offer states otherwise.

Cancellations and Refunds

If classes are popular we will operate a waiting list for places, so please do cancel if you cannot attend.

If you cancel at least a week in advance of the start date for your course/lesson, or earlier, a full refund can be offered in the manner in which you paid. We cannot refund in cash, a course paid for with a voucher. You will get this back in the form of a voucher to spend with us at a later date.

If you cancel between a week and 72 hours before a class - you can transfer credit to another evening class of your choice (if there is space), or to a place on the next terms courses. We unfortunately cannot offer a refund this close to the start date.

If you cancel less than 72 hours before a class - unfortunately we cannot normally transfer this as credit, however if there are students waiting for a place, this may be possible so please check with us. We unfortunately cannot offer a refund this close to the start date.


Private Tuition

Can be cancelled by the student at any time by up to 48 hours before the agreed lesson for a full refund of the tutoring fee. If less than 48 hours the fee is still payable or the lesson re-arranged if a mutually convenient time for tutor and student can be found or the credit transferred to another class or course if appropriate (this is at the discretion of the tutor). Any materials the tutor has bought specially for your lesson should be paid for at their request (sometimes they may be happy to keep them).
